The Wild Goose run was a fun event and first ever for Goose Wines. Goose Wines is owned by the world famous golfer Retief “The Goose” Goosen. Goose Wines held this first annual event together with some great wine tasting. The event catered for everyone. It started of with an amazing Trail Run on the wine estate and ended with a golf driving competition. The object was to drive as far as you can to reach the farm dam at the bottom. We have some explanatory text in between the images, please have a look at what this day was all about.
The vineyards provides some amazing scenery for the runners and walkers that took part.
Wine tasting stations was at every kilometer for those who got thirsty on the way.
Wine tastings with breads and cheeses was done in the main entertainment area.
The Goose wine range is truly unique as it is handcrafted in high altitude vineyards on the northern slopes of the Outeniqua Mountains, in the heart of the famous Garden Route. These unique world class wines are vineyard specific. The Upper-Langkloof wine ward boasts low annual temperatures of around 17 degrees Celsius, creating elegant styled wines with a classic finish.

The long drive contest provided some very entertaining action. It was amazing having a 270 degree view of the wine estate.
